This time the experience philes section is my favorite. But, I don’t think I’ve had a favorite section this whole time either lol.
visual philes.
I may be late but I saw Cocaine Bear. I didn’t have…high…expectactions going in to it. I was more curious at just how rediculuos it was going to be. Fortunately, it took itself seriously enough to still be entertaining. I didn’t know Jesse Tyler Ferguson was in it ahead of time so it was fun to realize who he was under the make-up and slight accent.

Getting new music from my favorite artists during the same week will always feel great. This time it came with a surprising collab. Thundercat and Tame Impala joined forces for “No More Lies”, which is almost six minutes long. This is a very good thing. Hearing both of them in their high register vocals along with the instrumentation was so fire. You can read more on my thoughts on it here. Crumb also dropped another new song titled “Dust Bunny” and it was exactly what I love from them: fast paced dreamy music. Janelle Monae’s anthem “Float” also got a dancy remix from Coco and Breezy. I hope music like this continues to drop throughout the spring + summer.

Last weekend I had two back-to-back experiences. The first one was going to the casino for the first time! I didn’t play anything this time but I definitely looked at a lot of the machines, tables etc. It was really cool to see things I had seen in movies and games for years IRL. The food was great too!
I also went to see the Virginia International Tattoo! This is a show where different military bands from around the world come together to perform. I went before during elementary school but at this age I was able to fully appreciate it on a new level.

As you just read, I’ve already started to fill my spring + summer with activities. I’ve got some others coming soon so keep an eye out!
