This has been quite a busy week for me. Things were set in motion, things were completed and things began.
visual philes.
I finished all 8 Harry Potter movies! What a journey it was to literally watch the characters grow up and the stakes - and losses - become heavier and heavier. I can say I now fully understand the hype behind the movies and feel just as enamored with them as everyone else was. I plan to read the books next and will be ordering Hufflepuff merch very soon. If you want to see my thoughts on every movie check out the thread I did on m
Like most people, I watched the Super Bowl. I’ll talk about what I SAW here because y’all know the food pics will be in the other section. While I can’t say I only watch for the commercials, I definitely go in with expectations for them and feel there was nothing truly memorable this year. I know the pandemic played a huge role in funds available for companies but even so I feel like companies shoot for celebrity appearances instead of something memorable like I said. Memorable can mean it was funny, odd or heartwarming. As long as it’s worth talking about again.
Last week I started Mr. Robot from the beginning for the second time. I’ve seen about half of season 1 already but stopped watching for some reason. Anyway, I have seen seasons 3-4 in full already so I’m looking forward to seeing the origins of all the relationships/dynamics the show has. I’m also watching with my Dad so I’m very excited to see his reaction to Mr. Robot’s real identity…
audio philes.
One of my personally most anticipated songs of this year dropped on recently and I’m so glad it’s finallly out. Janelle Monae’s song “Float” is something she’s been teasing for weeks and it’s really an anthem. Naturally, I had to speak on it too!
experience philes.
As I mentioned earlier, we had a Super Bowl party for just my our family and as usual, I was in charge of prep + presentation.
ANYTHING on King’s Hawaiian Rolls is going to be excellent so you know those burger sliders were bomb!
closing philes.
We’ve (basically) reached the end of February and it’s been over 70 degrees at least three times. Enjoy the weather if you can but I’m pretty sure snow is not happening this year.
hufflepuff gang gang!!
